Wonderful Winter Smoothie Recipe by Kate, RHN

This smoothie is a great energy boost to start your chilly winter day!

(You can substitute whey protein powder for ground flax or chia seeds and you can use any %100 fruit juice of your choice.)


Makes 1 Serving

1/2 of a ripe banana

3/4 cup low-fat plain organic yogurt (you can also use kefir)

1/2 cup cranberry juice

1/2 cup water (add slowly until desire thickness is reached)

2 Tbsp whey protein powder


Add all ingredients into a blender and blend until smooth. Pour into a glass and enjoy!

Kate recently moved from the beautiful Annapolis Valley, NS where the availability of fresh local produce ignited her passion to pursue a career in health care. She exemplifies holistic nutrition’s fundamental belief in the importance of maintaining a healthy connection between mind, body, spirit through her commitment to healthy eating, exercise and personal development.

Kate completed the RHN program with the Canadian School of Holistic Nutrition and will soon be qualified to perform Meridian Stress Assessments which will enhance her holistic nutrition consultations.

She is committed to helping her clients attain their goals of health and wellness. Kate believes that simple changes can deliver big results.
